Ask To It works without an account or visitor API key. Here is what happens when you ask for a decision.

Decision inputs and results

Your question, context, and options are sent over HTTPS to Ask To It's Cloudflare Worker and then to TypeSafe for a Jev evaluation. The structured result returns to your browser. Ask To It does not store your question or result in an application database or publish it.

A question, format, and starting options entered on the home page are passed once through this tab's session storage and removed when the desk opens. The desk keeps the current input and result in page memory until the page is refreshed or closed.

Browser verification and usage limits

Before a decision request, Cloudflare Turnstile checks the browser for abuse. Its client script runs on the decision desk; the Worker sends the short-lived verification token and request IP address to Cloudflare for server-side validation. Ask To It does not store the token. To keep free access available, Ask To It also applies daily request limits. The Worker uses the request IP address to create a keyed one-way hash for the current UTC day. A Cloudflare Durable Object stores that hash and a request count for the day. The raw IP address is not stored in Ask To It's usage database. Standard Cloudflare infrastructure and security logs may still process request metadata such as IP address and timing.

Providers

Cloudflare hosts the site and Worker. TypeSafe processes the decision input and output under its policies. Read TypeSafe's privacy policy and Cloudflare's privacy policy for their data practices.

Cookies and analytics

This release does not set an Ask To It account cookie or run third-party analytics. Copying a result places text on your device clipboard only when you request it.
